Strong Close – 7 Play Scheme
Playbook: CIN BENGALS
*RUN:
1. Quick Toss – This scheme is based off of the Quick Toss. This is the #1 play out of Strong Close!
2. HB Zone Weak – Zone runs are better this year and this one is great! It’s an opposite side run with outside possibilities.
3. HB Dive – Neutral run with a quick handoff that allows us the option of both left and right side runs.
*PLAY ACTION:
4. PA Scissors – The go to play action out this set and scheme, PA Scissors. The TE is the main read and should amount for good yardage when your opponent is biting down and committing to the run.
5. PA Deep Cross – Great crossing route – combo’d with a default crosser or desired hot route. Third read – check down in the flats.

6. Read WR Out – Tons of possibilities on this play. Out route to beat man and zone, post over the middle, flat route, curl route + any hot route!
7. Y Trail – Perfect short yardage situation pass. Circle is your first read with X as the trail. Flat route built in again and the right side WR is free to hot route. Fade route on the left side is also effective when only facing a 3 man rush.
